Carl has been a key figure in veterinary pathology in Melbourne since 1998. After graduating from the University of Melbourne and early clinical work, Carl trained in pathology at a commercial veterinary pathology laboratory in Melbourne, gaining ANZCVS membership (pathobiology chapter). Carl later co-founded ASAP Laboratory, which became part of Vetnostics. Following further study in biodiversity and work with Agriculture Victoria, Carl has returned to Vetnostics Victoria with a focus on cytology and haematology, alongside an ongoing interest in conservation.
