About Dr Susan McLeish

Raised in France, Susan graduated from Bristol University in the UK in 1998 and spent the following 18 years in small animal practice in the UK and Australia. She undertook a Masters in Bilingual Translation at the University of Westminster in 2003 and worked as a freelance veterinary/medical translator for several years, in combination with veterinary work. Having settled in Sydney and working in small animal practice, Susan developed a passion for clinical pathology and, in 2016, dragged her family back to the UK to undertake a 3 year ECVCP clinical pathology residency at Bristol University. She was awarded the ECVCP Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Pathology in 2021 and prior to joining Vetnostics, worked in a large commercial laboratory in the UK.
Susan always enjoys discussing cases with vets and is interested in all aspects of veterinary clinical pathology including cytology, haematology, clinical chemistry and method validation.
