About Dr Angela Begg
Dr Angela Begg graduated with a BVSc from University of Sydney in 1981. She then spent two years as a private mixed animal practitioner before returning to the University to complete a Diploma in Veterinary Pathology. Soon after, Dr Begg became the Resident in Clinical Pathology at the Rural Veterinary Centre, University of Sydney. This is where she gained experience in all aspects of diagnostic veterinary pathology specialising in horses. Dr Begg was then a postgraduate research student with the CSIRO, Division of Animal Health, completing a PhD into salmonella vaccines. After being appointed a Lecturer in Veterinary Microbiology, Dr Begg also lectured in Clinical Pathology for the Department of Animal Health, University of Sydney. An author of over 30 scientific publications, Dr Begg also operated the Scone Diagnostic Veterinary Laboratory in the Hunter Valley, NSW, before joining the Vetnostics team.
